Laval (pronounced ) is a city, a regional county municipality and a region in southwestern Quebec, Canada in the Greater Montreal Area. These are placed in Île Jésus, across a Rivière des Prairies from Montreal. History
Laval was number one settled by Jesuits in 1636 when they were granted the seigneury there. Agriculture number 1 appeared around Laval around 1670.
